Review: working the applicant queue

For admissions staff · Updated September 30, 2026

The three lanes, how complete files rise automatically, and why incomplete files can’t be enrolled.

WatchWork the queue, not the pile · 45 secYouTube

The review queue sorts every applicant by what is actually holding them up, so you work a list, not a pile.

The three lanes

  • Ready to enroll — the file is complete. Enroll them.
  • Pending documents — something is missing or was rejected. The student has been told what.
  • Awaiting decision — the file needs a staff decision.

Every applicant sits in exactly one lane. When a file completes — documents approved, agreement signed, payment posted — the student moves to Ready automatically.
